"lonely gloves" I was in London last December on two separate occasions, and both times managed to lose one half of a pair of gloves. (No, they were not 2 halves of the same pair. Somehow that feels that like a sillier thing to do than to lose one glove each from two different pairs…) I lost one glove at the very busy London Eye (I was with my family, and funnily enough, was not the only one to have lost a glove here), while the other I didn’t even realize was missing until a few days after arriving back in Coventry. I probably lost it at the Victoria Coach Station. I would now still be stung by the losses - one of the pairs, particularly, had only been bought a week before (typical) - if I hadn’t predictably gone off and bought new pairs of gloves, WAHAH. That said, I feel sorry for the ones that had been abandoned by their partners. The picture over there show my sad gloves. Then I thought it would be a pretty interesting thing to Google. Lost gloves of the world, you have not been entirely abandoned. If anything, you have quite a following:
… Oh, the tragic allure of the single lost glove! |

"arty consumer stuff and others" I am a sucker for detailed works of art, so ‘The Koweal Portable Typewriter and Adding Machine’ caught my eye - and it’s gorgeous! Less detail but just as eye-catching: Cool CD Designs. I have mentioned before in a previous blog entry, does anyone know of anywhere online where people put up images of actual CD designs rather than case cover designs or album art? So. I really wanted to write a good first post after my last one three weeks ago, but inspiration fails me. Thus instead a link dump below (forgive outdated news - I am often lagging behind the times ;P). stuff you wish you owned The PodBrix - What if the iPod silhoutte had the figure of a brick man? are you proud of your past? It’s just an Ozy and Millie strip but the line, “In, say, 2007, will we be embarrassed we liked this?” struck me funny because it sums up the fate of many popular trends followed by the masses. Or I decided that sounded very smart, but really I was remembering how my housemates and I would watch old music videos on TV and laugh at our fascination with certain pop(or otherwise) stars when we were preteens. girl stuff =P Asking For It (see related post here) I promise, a little more substance (but no less disorganisation) next time. |

"super smash sex ed stupid seasons blah" I just recently discovered all the hullaballoo about sex ed in the Bruneian blogosphere. Woo me for being lagging again. Anyhoo, I’ve read some good stuff out there, and some not so good stuff, and I’ve got my own opinions, but I don’t want to say what’s been said so I’ll just direct you to Ummi’s Sex Ed for the Bruneians, which I think is an awesome idea. This is a Link Dump. =P So…
On that last point. Does anyone feel that the UK climate is swinging back and forth between winter and summer lately? I mean, seriously. It was so cold three days ago that I wished to turn the central heating on instead of shivering in my room feeling demotivated to study for my exams. Yesterday it was so hot I could wash and dry two batches of laundry in the space of 4 hours. |

I hate putting up links to other blogs because I often forget to update them. But am thinking about putting up some sort of feed to worthy websites anyway. Eventually.
